Christmas Events being Held in Charleston 2013

· 23rd Annual Reindeer Run- December 7th at 9am. The Reindeer Run, presented by Half-Moon Outfitters, is a family-oriented, pet-friendly 5k run/walk through the lower peninsula of downtown Charleston, SC.

· Mt. Pleasant Holiday Farmers Market & Craft Show-December 7, Farmers Market Pavilion (Coleman Boulevard and Simmons Street) 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

· Monck’s Corner Holiday fair--- Now until December 22. The weekend Holiday Fair offers families and friends a place to gather and celebrate the holidays. Children can enjoy free visits with Santa Claus and loads of fun activities in his workshop. There's also marshmallow roasting, over-sized holiday cards by local students, and live entertainment. The Stony Landing House will be adorned in historical decorations provided by the Town and Village Garden Club. Entry is included with your $5 admission to the Holiday Driving Tour, Friday through Sunday.

· Scuba Claus at the South Carolina Aquarium—now until December 23. Scuba Claus will join the hundreds of animals in the 385,000 gallon, two-story tall Great Ocean Tank during special dive shows. The man in the big red scuba gear will be joined by his special elf helper to talk with guests about the gifts of the sea he is swimming with like sharks, pufferfish and even a 230-pound resident loggerhead sea turtle Caretta.

· 2013 Holiday Festival of the Lights—Now until December 31 at James Island County Park. This three-mile driving tour delivers more every year, with over 750 shining displays. But, the Holiday Festival of Lights is much more than just a driving tour! Park the car and experience exciting attractions custom-designed for holiday cheer. There are many celebrated attractions to see and do, including:
Marshmallow Roasting , Festival Train Rides , Lakeside Lights Interactive Activity, The Amazing Dancing Light Display, Enchanted Walking Trail, Gingerbread House Displays 50-Ton Sand Sculpture, Giant Greeting Cards, Old-Fashioned Carousel, Unique Gift Shops and the Reindeer Workshop, Portable Climbing Wall, Photos with Santa (Nov. 27 Dec. 23), Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, and Special Family Events on Select Evenings.

· South Carolina Aquarium 4-D Immersion Theater Featuring The Polar Express-- now until January 1. 4-D Theater tickets can be purchased as part of the Premier Pass to the Aquarium, or individually for $6.95. Movie length is approximately 15 minutes with multiple show times daily.

· 5th Annual Holiday Pub Crawl—now until January 10 at Rainbow Market ticket shop. Based on popular tours in Europe, it's a unique spin on a historic city tour—through the oldest pubs and taverns that are often hard to find! This 2.5 hour tour visits 4 historic pubs where everyone can have their favorite beverage and enjoy complimentary appetizers at two out of the four pubs!

· Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston --- The City of Charleston will celebrate the holiday season this December with Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston, offering family-oriented activities, performances and decorations that capture the spirit of the season for everyone in the community.
