The New Courtyard Café at the Berkeley Campus

by Zaneta Kennedy
Within the past year, the café on Berkeley Campus was closed for renovations. It recently reopened with a new layout and a new name—The Courtyard Café. The café consists of new tables and chairs, a colorful layout, and a glass accent wall. The menu is displayed on a small monitor. The average price of each menu item is more than it was before the renovations.
Since the café was closed for over a semester, many students do not know about the reopening. Other students do know about it, but have not been to the café yet. On the other hand, there are some students who have visited the new café and like the changes.
“It was closed when I first started here, but I like it now. The colors are inviting,” Vanessa Soto, a new TTC Berkeley Campus student says.
Kristy Dangerfield, a returning TTC Berkeley Campus student, knew what the café was like before the renovations. She says, “It’s much better now. Even the food is better. It makes it feel like a real college.”
